| Capricorn One (1978) | Imdb | AMG | It is realised that a Nasa mission to Mars is doomed, however, Nasa decide to fake the mission and at first the Astronauts (played by James Brolin , O.J. Simpson and Sam Waterston ) agree to this and take part in the deception. All would be well but then the spacecraft crashes on re-entry and now the three live Astronauts are a liability. A reporter Robert Caulfield played by Elliott Gould investigates. This is a low cost film. No extra's at all. But fun anyway. After this film came out then it's plot has been used as conspiracy theorists as proof that the original Real Moon landings were fake. This is something which the Director of this film has strenuously denied - but all to no avail. |
